Yay, icons! I'm pleased with some of these, and some of them - just no. But hey, that's life, non? Anyway, here we go. Two of my newest and most favouritest (yes, I get away with that word cos I'm great) screen sirens, Clara Bow & Jean Harlow. I've no idea what you should expect next, but I am downloading caps to PoA right now, so who knows ( Read more... )

Thankyou =D I don't have a way wikth black and white, it's just that a huge proportion of my pictures are black and white so I get lots of practice. Still, I far prefer working with colour pictures.

Ahh mine too!
I love how the light flatters her face in 7.

Would you mind telling me where you found them? I can only find small sizes...

I only have those two pictures in relatively small sizes, but http://www.lisaburks.com/jeanharlow is a really great site for pictures. And the rest of the pictures I've used come from either there or ... various sites. Not entirely sure.

those icons are so pretty. especially #'s 1, 5, 9 & 10.

How did you get the black and white picture to get those colors in #'s 5 and 10?

Thanks! =D

I created a new layer above the image and flood fill it with a very dark blue (such as #0C0B33). I then set the layer to 'exclusion' and lower the opacity right down to somewhere between 10% and 30%

With number ten, the colour is more of a tealy turquoise colour (something like #0B2A3B) and set to between 30% and 50%.

I get a lot of practice with them. I mean, practically all my icons, at the moment at least, are of classic actresses. ^___^ But I'm glad you like them! And I do like the brush on number four, it kind of...completed it. =)
