1. Black skirt. Mine comes to about my knees and I got it at fucking 579 a million years ago! But I wear it all summer long. Or with tights in the cold months. 2. Old Navy hoodie! Comfy and they fit nice...I have a black one and a gray one and I want more. 3. Old Navy tank tops. Same as above, only I have them in at least seven different colors. They're amazing, and cheap.
I don't know what else. I never realized what an Old Navy fan I am. Get some shirts to show off your boobz, plz.
Jackets are teh sex. I saw a pink velvet one at the mall the other day, but couldn't rationalize buying it since I'm unemployed and don't know what job would find such an amazing jacket work appropriate.
P.S. the Target here had Argyle cardigans on sale for 12 bucks in 4 different colors. I almost peed myself. That I DID get. Everyone needs about 5 cardigans in my opinion. With different colors, necklines, weave patterns and sleeve lengths. My fave atm is a green lambswool cableknit with 3/4 length sleeves. I have about 10 cardigans as I am a sweater whore. They look great though--you can go sexy librarian, soccer mom or anything in between.
i'm not the best person to talk to about basic clothing to wear. most of my clothes aren't anywhere near basic. other than jeans, i guess. haha. but target has great simple tops that are cheap and would work to dress up or down and you could accessorize them for going out.
it was good to see you the other night and you know i'll be posting some pictures soon. i'm going to get either erik or riz or possibly both, maybe even ferg if he can get time off of work, to come out with me to see you in... february? i can't remember when we said because i was a little intoxicated. of course you were too, with your double water. ;)
I wear a lot of dresses, so other than the dresses themselves, I cannot live without... - big belts - tights - sweaters (cardigan, usually)
I also have two good pairs of jeans (skinny and bootcut) and deep v-neck shirts for layering and some all-purpose skirts that can be dressed up or down. My wardrobe is very easy to mix and match, with the exception of the dresses...but those can usually be paired with tights.
As for shopping, I do most of mine via Target or eBay, so I am no help there. If you're looking for cheap, you probably won't get very good quality...a tale I have had to learn the hard way. =(
Upon re-reading this comment, it makes little sense. But you seem like you're on the right track!!
