Okay, one, two, three... can we all say together "Season 2, 'Darkness Falls' X-File?"

Absolutely unreal: http://user.it.uu.se/~svens/larverna/normal.html

It brings back memories of the Great Gypsy Moth Caterpillar Infestation of 1980. And not the good memories, either!

OMG, you've actually SEEN something like this in real life? My other question would be, why the hell didn't someone do something to prevent these "tents" from ever leaving the tree? Like massive applications of pesticides or flame throwers ASAP? ::shivers::

That happened to me the other day, when I walked through a huge spider web and then did the "where's-the-damn-spider?" jitterbug!

Oh, ack! That's, like, the worst feeling ever!

I can't stand spiders. Whenever I see one, I have to do what Keith calls my Famous Spider Dance.

This time of year, we see trees infested with gyspy moths - it's disgusting, but sporatic and generally along the highway. But these pictures look like a B rated horror movie. This place had to be abandoned for this to happen or South jersey residents are in a shit load of trouble.

And we already have the nasty black flies on the beach biting us like little flying alligators. Not to mention bull sharks in our back bays which are biting like...well... you get the idea.

I'll tell you something even more skeery and skeevy: Bed bugs are back in the news.

I heard about the bedbug re-emergence. Heaven help them, should I happen to notice one near my body while on vacation! Will also be taking fly swatters to the beach with us. Splat!
