OK so I spend two nice days at my folks. Well OK truth is one nice day. Thursday was fine until my mother comes knocking on the bathroom door saying Dad needs help at the barn. Long story short - we had to put our horse down. It was sad. But the vet wanted us to exercise her to see if she improved - so my cousin and I took turns walking her

First of all, even though it was your birthday, you KNOW about the importance of sun screen, even if it is still winter :). Ok, enough preaching LOL.

My ex mother in law had to put down a few horses in her lifetime of riding quarter horses. It was one of the sadest things she had to do she told me. It's never easy.

With my dark skin - I rarely burn - but I guess one more thing that changes with age...

Actually I was just so happy I was there - just sort of strange how this week worked out...

And they are very nice to watch from that distance. And you don't have to clean the stalls...
