And other than that, try the racing horse method and try your best to focus, not on your parents or trying to make anyone else happy, but only of what you want and need. College isn't about relationships, rebellion, or fame, and if any of those things are holding you back, you shouldn't have them during a time like this.
Everything above makes me happy. I wouldn't be part of it if I wasn't. I love CRAD, APA, MUN, Yearbook, Playing guitar for people who want to hear music, playing piano for myself and my composure, building a car and being surrounded by people who love me. I love History, I love French. I love Music. Perhaps the only problem and complication is that I just love so much stuff. Right now my ADD/OCD is kicking in. I'm in the middle of reorganizing my closet. And my whole room. Give me sleeping pills.
i know what you mean...i have a large load too and it all makes me happy...as far as college goes though, you wanna get an education, sure, but you also wanna have fun...its a really hard decision, i know, im going through it, but just apply your heart out, visit, decide what you want from college, and then decide whats going to give it you the best...yu still have a while (i know it doesnt seem like it, but you do) to figure it out, so just keep contemplating...its better than doing nothing (cough what i did til a couple months ago cough)
Oh man oh man, do I know where you're coming from about this college labyrinth, as I'm sure you know from all of my college entries (aka glorified rants). Suffice it to say that I'm glad you're understanding and appreciating your options and carefully weighing them. (I think you know what I mean.)
This entry made me so happy, because although we really have not talked about college a lot, when we have you've told me you're going to OCC and that's it. It made me so sad that you weren't realizing your outrageous potential, and now I see that's changed and I am SO happy. Not that there's anything wrong with OCC, I was just sad that you decided on settling instead of, as you said, keeping your options open. Any college would be lucky to have you. ♥
i suggest you take all this thinking you're doing and put it aside for a little while. my experience has only proven that dwelling on where you want to go will only make the decision that much harder. APPLY, see where you get in, visit every place, and then worry yourself with this decision. and if you end up getting in everywhere ((or atleast most or a lot of places)), you have your work cut out. lucky for you, you have an entire year and some change before you have to go through that, so seriously don't even worry now. ((and indiana u, ucla, and berekely are on my list, too. ;-) )) xoxo.
