2 wks notice- though i'll only work one day before we close for renovations (during which time, we'll be compensated!). hhhheck yeah.

when I first got my mac desktop I still had dial up and I left the phone cord in while I wasn't at home and it got stuck by lightning and stopped turning on, after a month of trying to open it up and press weird buttons I left it alone for like 3 weeks, and then I randomly tried to turn it on, and it did and has worked fine ever since, sooo I am conviced that macs fix themsleves..

for what its worth, a member of our prestigious faculty brought a laptop in for repair recently. a laptop which her cat puked all over slash inside.

there was crusty barf all up on it. i felt really bad for the poor tech who had to take it apart at the computer repair center.
