OHMYWORD. So I got an adorable little Furby for my birthday when I was about 8, and after a week, I'd lock it in the bathroom to make it shut up. If you tried to take out the batteries, it would wake up, and guilt trip you into throwing it back into the bathroom instead of killing it. IT WAS A CONSPIRACY! Right along with cute-yet-annoying-electronic-toys were those Poochie robot dog things. The only thing it really did was bark and sit when you gave it a bone. =(
Beanie Babies ftw. I remember the very day that it became unpopular to bring them to school. It was literally overnight.
I'm still waiting for the pokemon satire! That was too huge to skip! =P

I don't remember Poochie robot dogs, but considering the close proximity of "Poochie" to "Furby", and the fact that they placed the word "robot" before "dog" in the name, it's probably a good thing I never came in contact with them.

Furbys are scary. I myself have never owned one however my cousin did and it somehow learned the phrase Im going to kill you. She kept it on a shelf and once I stayed over at her house and it rocked itself forward and landed right on my head yelling it was going to kill me. It learned how to fly that night. LOL Ah mike good show as always

Oh man, the toy company that created the Furby could not have made it any scarier, could they? I'm almost willing to say "bravo!"

I still have my furby, I still love boy bands (well...just the Backstreet Boys) and I still have all my beanie babies just because they are cute.

So N*SYNC N*SUCKS eh? ;) And yes, beanie babies are cute. If that picture with me and Tabasco (above) had only me in it, it would have been--like all pictures with just me in it--really lame, but Tabasco has upped the cuteness factor tremendously, non?

i had so many different, elaborant handshakes with my friends that were really confusing to keep up with! i had forgotten about those. and i only did the KO (kids only) chatrooms on AOL, so you got kicked out if you said anything innapropriate. but many an a/s/l was typed back in the day, ahh.

Amen on the handshakes. They got sooooo lonnnng by the time they stopped being used...but still uber cute :). And good for you for only going into Kids chats, because the general ones could get confusing, vulgar, perverted and often incredibly mean! But yes, many a.s.l's. So many that my friends and I would just call them "assles" for short.

OMG Tabasco was so cuuuuute! And all of the kitties were, too-- I bought them as a youngster just because they were cute little kitties!

I had a friend who went on Jerry Springer with his family. His mom had been married before she met his dad and had this whole other family that she never mentioned to her NEW family, and when they all went on Jerry she told them and they all met each other and it was CRAZY.

Yeah. As with Beavis and Butt Head, being in such actual close proximity to white-trash dysfunction tends to make it a lot less entertaining for me to watch on television.

Aw, really? I suppose a big reason for why I don't enjoy the glamour and glitz of most of what's on television is that a lot of it takes place in LA. I don't need to turn on my TV to see that. But come on! Say it with me now... Jer-ry, Jer-ry, Jer-ry!
