Strutting, thrusting, drooling, groping, ogling, spitting, necking, grabbing, yelling, BMW-driving, Rolex-toting, Shitty rap-promoting, "My Other Ride Is Your Girlfriend" t-shirt-wearing MORONS!

That is the last time I go to a bar.

You're one of the few guys I know who aren't into the bar scene, we must clone you :o!

I'd like to have more of me around in the world :) So long as I didn't have to be friends with them or anything.

Yeah, you'd have to wear different outfits to distinguish each other...and God forbid if you had your girlfriend leave you for one of the clones :O!

At least I'd know that my (nonexistent) girlfriend would leave me for someone who at least looks exactly like me. I'd think there was hope *_*

OMG I hate the bar scene. You summed it up perfectly. It's one of those things I will never understand. People like to meet incoherent, bored people to have meaningless conversation and wish they had never met, seems so dumb.

It all seems so forced, doesn't it? Everyone should just cut the bullshit and say, "I actually think you're really boring and lame. Let's just admit that we came here to meet cute people to have innocuous non-conversations with. Also, your pickup lines suck."

The bar scene is soooo not worth it. The only way you'll find me near a bar at night is if it's got a restaurant with good food attached to it and I'm actually there to eat with someone I know(and possibly sing karaoke, if they have it).

Yeah, there are definitely different kinds of bars, but the good ones--even in Los Angeles--are few and far between. The one I went to, right by my house, is a dive bar, where all the sleazy people from Reseda come to get tail. I also think 90% of any bar is the people and 10% the bar itself, and let's face it: The people are usually shitheads.

I actually like bars a lot- you just have to find the right ones. There are a lot of good ones in Boston where I can sit with friends and just hang out. As for the morons you described that show up, I usually just ignore them and continue on with my life.

Hey, if you know a few of the "right ones" in the Boston area, post a few of 'em here. :) I'm around the area myself and would like to know of a couple of places where I could go to have a drink and not be unnecessarily pestered.

Well...my favorite is Flann O'briens, which is on Tremont, right near Brigham Circle. (Off the green line) It's a really great bar, just don't go on karaoke night, because that's when the "morons" tend to show up, haha. Diagonally across from that is The Mission, which is a bit more upscale, but has great food ( ... )

I think it also depends on who you go with. I've had okay bar experiences when I've gone to some hip Hollywood bars with a few of my female friends, and we'd just laugh at all the XY's who would try to get frisky. This wasn't one of those times.
