Camp Activities, Graded

This is so fun! I've never heard of ga-ga either. I worked at camps (at Vassar/other colleges) the last 2 summers, so several of these things are fresh in my mind. Especially the dances. It's really fun being in charge at camp dances. REALLY fun. Think watching awkward middle school couples from the balcony in UpCDC. And pretend counselor dates that the kids set you up on. Oh man. Yeh, I imagine if you're good with kids it's close to the best thing ever. I definitely enjoyed being a camper when I was the right age for it, but I don't know how I'd do as a counselor. Maybe I'd like it; it would probably bring me back and put a lump in my throat. As for Ga-Ga, I have to think it isn't as common as, say, arts & crafts because few places actually had the good sense to build Ga-Ga pits. I suppose you could make out of some sticks and rope, but it just ain't the same: With all the head-flyin' action going on in there, you'd need something really sturdy. Do me a favor and find a Ga-Ga game sometime in your life, and have a ball :)

Being a camp counselor is like going back to middle school but automatically being in the cool group.
