And feeling a bit paranoid in consequence. Turns out I’m in good company:

QUIET SUN” BAFFLING ASTRONOMERS, new flu outbreaks, and worries about “civil unrest.” I feel like I’m in a John Ringo novel. That is, when I don’t feel like I’m living in Fallen Angels.

It wouldn't be too bad to live in a Ringo novel, as long as you kept your powder dry, aimed low, and tried not to cough in each other's direction.

People keep looking at me funny when I say it's going to be the Crazy Years soon...

But I disagree on the less negative aspects of living in a Ringo Novel. His body counts are shocking... (I have opted out of being one of his Red Shirts more than once).

I suspect so, too. I think it may be less Last Centuriion and more Fallen Angels, mostly because of our Guv'ment.
