Negotiating with Terrorists

Terrorists, as wolves walking upright, have precisely two rights: the right to become dead, and the right to remain dead. One does not negotiate or bargain with wolves or terrorists, one merely kills them. To negotiate with them is to validate their atrocities. Sadly, Obama really does seem to be that stupid.

Both of us know that an explicit American endorsement of the Iranian protesters would only hurt their chances because the regime can claim their opponents are merely American stooges. Hence the official silence, because the administration does not want to waste "the best chance in 30 years of dislodging an implacable American enemy."

And frankly, the last time the Americans explicitly endorsed something in Iran, it was the dictator they installed after overthrowing a democratically elected government. That brings up bad memories for Iranians, whether they are for the current regime or not.

I wasn't really commenting on the rest of the article. Just that particular criticism that it leveled, which is somewhat irrelevant to the main topic of the article.
