In one of those classic "Duh!" moments, a recent study shows that children are not under threat from online sexual predators after all...
A task force created by 49 state attorneys general to look into the problem of sexual solicitation of children online has concluded that there really is not a significant problem.

I realised there wasn't a real problem 7 or 8 years ago when my son, rushyo, who was in his early teens then, said he really needed a webcam. I thought it sounded dodgy, but he explained that none of the other kids on online systems would talk to him, because he couldn't prove that he was a kid as well. Obvious once it's pointed out.

Clearly this task force ought to be arrested for allowing the truth to undermine one of governments' favorite excuses for restricting and spying on online activities.
