I also agree with you that he is very keen on stretching himself, and I would like to see him play someone cold and calculating, someone you cannot sympathize or empathize with. I think he does the empathy bit really well, and in fact many of his characters seem to draw empathy, sympathy, and even pity, but I would like to see him be psychotic, like Baby's character, for instance, or Christian Bale in American Psycho. I want to see if he can pull off cruel, mean, cold. As a guilty pleasure, I would like to see him in a happy heterosexual romantic comedy, or a romantic period piece like in anything by Austen, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon, if ever.

There's no way I can go to London any time soon, so unfortunately it's not for me. I hope Colin will attend the Q&A though (he has a history of not doing so of course) and that we'll get reports and maybe even pictures.
