April was a fast month...

Let's see here... going backwards...

Yesterday, I finally got a day off from work and went out to Mitsuwa with Sarah. It was a fun day... We got to eat at our favorite place to get breakfast in Jersey City before we headed out. I think I'm slowly developing my mental map of the area, because it felt easier to drive there now. Our main goal was to buy a kimono for Sakura Matsuri, which is this coming weekend. We're starting out with something simple for now, and maybe start adding on accessories later on. Man, I'm hoping the weather and the blossoms will hold until Saturday when we get there. They were past their peak when the festival happened last year, and I missed out completely on the year before that. After grabbing ourselves a snack, we went off to watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall then it was back to Mitsuwa for another snack. We hung out at a local Barnes & Noble for a while... Sarah shopped for a couple of books, while I napped in between skimming through manga/comics. We started heading back probably around 8pm and stopped at Sarah's old neighborhood for yet another "snack" :x We finally got back to her place and just passed out on the couch from exhaustion. I managed wake myself up and pushed through some nasty patches of thunderstorms on the drive home.

My final choice

At the movies

We went out to see Forbidden Kingdom sometime mid-week. I don't think I've ever seen Jet Li smile so much onscreen. It was kinda weird ._.

The weekend before that, I got a chance to go to the New York Comic Con for a day. Didn't get to attend any panels, and spent most of the time at the dealer's room, unfortunately. But at least I got to meet/see a bunch of cool people! There was Doug Sneyd (comic illustrator from Playboy), Stephen Silver (character Designer from Kim Possible), Kharey Randolph (artist from Invincible), Gavin Blair (Co-creator from ReBoot), and Scott Ramsoomair (VG Cats). I even got to see an old friend from grade school/junior high. I spent most of my money on artbooks, but I really wish I spoiled myself out there because there really was a lot of things that caught my eye.

Back at around mid-March, I got to see the Pillows again. This time, with a slightly more scattered group but still quite fun. Stayed away from the stage this time around and found a comfortable spot away from the crowds.

The Pillows... FUCK YEAH!

And now, for something completely different...

Perhaps...
