Back in the cold north again after a very nice week in southern Cal. Sleeping all day so I can catch up when I head back to work on Monday and then have rehearsal the rest of the night. Disneyland was so awesome...especially since it was free. We headed over to DCA in the afternoon to catch the Aladdin show. The special effects and flying were ( Read more... )

Glad ya had fun!! Yeah, some of the locals here are freakishly rude. My old roommate was actually bashed into a display by a woman in the Emporium here a couple of years ago because the woman thought she was going for the last one of a particular stuffed animal. *headdesk*

One thing I'm glad about is that not nearly as many people here use ECVs as they do in Florida. I can't begin to count the number of times a crotchety old lady nearly ran me down in one of those while I was on my CP. But I will definitely snark back at people who try and run me down with their strollers. And one pushy parent while waiting for Fantasmic got me so riled up that I ended up kicking their equally-obnoxious kid (who was bashing into me and jumping around after pushing their way to the front). I'm so mature. :/

Well I guess I wasn't just experiencing particularly rude behavior and see now that it's the norm in southern Cal. One other thing I forgot to mention was that while standing in the queue area for Aladdin with 800 other people there was a woman changing her 2 year old on the ground in amongst everyone. We were very grossed out when we saw how "dirty" the diaper was and was waiting to see what she was going to do with it. She ended up throwing it in a bush before we went up the stairs!!! That's just insane behavior.

...WTF? That's nasty. Did anyone say anything to her?? 'Cause I sure would have.

Nope. They were all trying to stay away from there. That family ended up sitting right in front of us too and the dad was standing the baby on his knee and it about fell over the railing. (You know how steep those seats are way up in the balcony).
