[After the woman came on the line screaming hysterically, Garnet sat there, waiting out the chilling background noise with the phone pressed to her ear. For a time, she even urges the woman to come back to the phone and answer her. She has her suspicions that it could be Mukuro's doing, but she held onto hope until he himself came on the line.] Mukuro...why?

[Remains sitting absolutely stunned beside the telephone, with no idea what to do next. Should she run, or fight, or wait and see if he'll follow through with his threat in the first place? What scares her the most is what will inevitably go down after he kills her and her friends find out.

After attempting to compose herself, she exits her home and takes a seat on the front porch. Clenching Bahamut's gem between her clammy hands, she seeks strength from within the scarlet stone.]

[Though she makes no sound to indicate her fright, Garnet stiffens and falls back onto her arms, instantly driven into a position where he loomed over her and she was rather trapped beneath him. Wide eyes try to glean his next move while startled little lungs try to gulp a breath of air.]

Mukuro, I-- [It happens suddenly, much too quickly for her to try to summon Bahamut to her aid. The queen grits her teeth and gives an agonized groan as the trident pierces through her flesh, boring through skin, muscle, and finally, precious organs. He must have nicked a lung, for the next breath she takes sounds slick and frothy with blood. Her hands reach out, managing to grip fistfuls of his shirt as she falls against the steps. Hopelessly impaled, her body writhes involuntarily, spine arching as her cream-colored dress blooms red and the wooden porch beneath her body is bathed with her blood.]
