While I'm not the greatest fan of PP - I don't like the fact that they provide "clean-up" for "mistakes" made by people, and the branch in the city where I grew up had some shady practices - I do agree that if people don't have access to resources, there are only going to be MORE problems. What about the folks that decide they'll try to abort on their own? An abortion procedure can be risky even when performed by trained professionals, let alone done by someone that has no clue what they are doing.

What it all boils down to is people all over the country need to read your icon. X) If folks wouldn't make "whoopses" and then expect it to be cleaned up for them, PP wouldn't have the reputation that it does. I do wish there were more abortion-free alternatives - in my hometown we also had a privately owned resource center for pregnant women to go to, that did not support abortion but still offered everything else PP did - but hey. I'd rather have it available for the folks that need it, than not have it available at all. :\

Speaking as someone who has needed a whoops as you term it "cleaned up", I support having access to get it done safely. Should it be used as a form of contraception, no. But shit happens and you shouldn't be forced to carry a child you don't want. Adoption isn't always the best option (thousands of kids still in the system that no one wants) and some people just should not raise kids.

I want everyone to have the option to choose the best course for themselves. Not everyone will choose abortion, and some will. It should be between a woman and her doctor, not for the general public and government to make that decision for her.

Yeah, when I say cleaning up whoopses, I mean the kids that use it as a form of birth control. I've read stories of young ladies that have had so many abortions... when they could've prevented it from the start. Things happen, life's crazy, and there should definitely be some sort of help available to those that can't carry a child for whatever reason (ie, health issues, rape, etc.) but girls that can't keep their legs together? No, GTFO of the human race, pls ( ... )

I dunno I don't see it as being easy even now. You still have to deal with protesters, screenings, the emotional aspects, timing, etc.

Def agree we need better access to prevent rather than fix it later
