I am so glad that I'm not the only one who thought the film was okay... As I did enjoy Ledger's performance, I did miss the hysterical laughter of the... Joker. Personally I didn't like Christian Bale as Batman he was too static. In fact, that is my complaint with the whole movie it didn't really make me cringe or buy into it at all--aside from when the Joker would put the knife up to people's mouths. yeah. that got me.

Overall, Mediocre is exactly how I'd describe this film for all the same reasons you listed. I came away from it going "ehh..."

I actually liked it *ducks* I've never actually read the Batman comics with any regularity (one or two here and there) so that might be it.

Totally agree with you on Batman's voice & Harvey/Two-Face btw this comment...

Was spot on bar one anal point. When two face flips a coin he goes by that decision, its all to do with fate and chance. That's what he goes by. He doesn't keep flipping the coin until the outcome goes in his favour. So why did he do it in one scene in the film?

Are you talking about when he's with one of the Joker's guys and Batman shows up?? Just wanted to know before I carried on ;)

Yeah when he kidnaps the guy, pretending to be a copper

Yeah, I thought that too. Although at that point he's not officially 'Two-Face' so maybe his not-yet-psychotic brain doesn't follw the same rules that the villain does?

Another way to look at it is that he's trying to intimidate his prisoner as he knows the coin is double-headed but that guy doesn't?
