[Zevran jumps slightly; he's currently assembled a small stockpile of drugs of rather suspect nature and is debating what to mix and in what quantities, what to potentially slip in his pocket when he leaves, who he might provide the eventual end products to and for what price, etcetera...not the sorts of activities he particularly wants someone observing him at. However, he quickly turns to the man and smiles, shifting so that his body blocks most of what he was doing.] Hello, my friend! I don't believe we've met.

[Lucas has been hiding it valiantly, but he's been feeling poorly for a few days now. Unlucky that he runs into Zevran and not the Netherlands when he finally decides to see about getting some medicine.]

[Zevran is short for an adult, but even he looks right over Lucas' head for a moment before spotting the boy. He blinks for a moment; he's not particularly adept with children.] Ah - hello there! Did you need something? [Some concern sets in. While being a pharmacist offers him quite a few opportunities in making poisons, he knows very little about beneficial drugs and chemicals - particularly the many unfamiliar ones here - and so he's not actually certain he can help this boy with whatever he needs. He's pretty sure the boy doesn't need poison.]

I'm sorry to bother you, sir . . . Do you have anything for a fever?

Perhaps to cause one, but I suspect you wish to cure one. [Although he doesn't often deal with kids, Zev doesn't have anything against them and is generally friendly, so he does want to help. Unfortunately, he's not exactly sure how. He's not from a world with highly advanced medicine.] I'm afraid I'm quite new at this. [Technically true.] Was there something in particular that you were looking for? I could find it for you if you know what it's called.

[There's a guy further down the aisle, grumbling to himself and poking through the asprin section. He's squinting at the bottles and reading the labels.]

...could just get rid of a hangover easy if I had my damn magic...

[Zevran hears some muttering and peers down the aisle. He's not sure he wants to be messing with potential poisons while there's a witness wandering about, so he sets aside his work for the moment and smiles.] Can I help you? [It's less professionalism and more 'can I do something to shoo you out of my way faster?', though at least he's friendly about it.]

[He turns the glaring look to Zevran, holding a bottle up towards him.]

Does this fix a hangover?

[Zevran examines the bottle briefly, then the man holding it. The glare is intimidating, though Zev himself has seen far worse so he's hardly cowed. Indeed, he just grins in response.] I have no idea. Does it?

[A few days later, Zevran still works in the pharmacy! Here, have an Ema. She's looking to make chemical irritants to use as defensive weapons, would you like to help her Zevran?

She calls into the pharmacy.] Hello?

[Zevran has decided with all the interruptions that, well, just screw it. So he doesn't actually look up from what he's doing, or stop doing it.] Hello!

[Small world! Ema's getting quite good at recognizing that accent.]

Zevran? Is that you back there? [She approaches the counter to investigate further.]

[Zevran finally looks up and grins.] Ah, Ema! Yes, apparently I work here. [This is said with some amusement.]
