[Oh, he really needs to not make a habit of this.
Zevran doesn't actually remember dying, this time, but he certainly knows how it happened. That man's terrible singing in Deadman's Gulch...he'd tried to press his luck, fashioning earplugs in order to keep searching the town for something of import, something to make his risk in going there to begin with worthwhile. And, perhaps, something to get him back into Olivier's good graces after the complete debacle his false allegiance to Grady wound up turning into. Clearly he pressed his luck a little too far. The sound had eventually started to penetrate, and he'd begun making his way toward the road...and now he's in bed, back in their house that Olivier didn't even want him in. It doesn't take much deductive reasoning to guess what happened.
Two deaths in as many days...he's setting a terrible precedent.
He sits up, and only then does he notice that Olivier is actually lying beside him. He hadn't entirely expected it; she only comes to bed at all one night in three, so her presence there is hardly one to be taken for granted.
...and she's wearing his necklace.
He stares for a moment, entirely stunned. He'd picked it up, of course, back before he'd been droned...and she'd killed him. She could only have gotten it off his corpse...
And she's wearing it again? Does that suggest forgiveness? What else could it possibly signify, if not?]
