*Blah*

When I was growing up, I vowed to never be a "stay-at-home mom". Now I'm freaking out as that's the only apparent option for my life. I can't fathom any career sort of job, but I'm not able to pysically or mentally handle and of the other jobs I've had. As has been apparent by my not staying at a job more than 6 months to a year ( Read more... )

It's really too bad the old apprenticeship way of learning how to do a job from someone already doing the job fell out of fashion.

Thanks. I'm giving real thought to starting school up again after summer. I think I'll take one class on business and start from there. I might even forget about a four year degree and just get a two year. . .

I don't know. My whole concept of getting a bachelor and/or a master's degree by now has gone kaputz.

You wouldn't be moving back to Cali so you could be my vet, now would you? Isn't that what you're planning on doing after school. be a vet?

I'm actually looking more into research and less into actual clinic practice, which may or may not mean getting a DVM sometime in the future. And I won't be moving back to Southern California if I can avoid it at all, it did bad things to my health. The Midwest agrees with me a lot more, so I plan to stay in areas with 4 seasons, snow, and shorter hot periods of the year.

Man. Sounds like things are really hard for you right now. I'll keep you in my thoughts. I don't know what to do about the job/school delema either,so we're both on the same wave length there. I hate it though when everyone's giving you their ideas of what would work for your life. it's your life, so you need to be able to make the decisions about what to do with and for it, but everyone can't resistgiving you their two cents. I get this a lot from my parents too, so you're not alone.
Love you girl and it'd be a blast to actually talk sometime.

I actually read your entry again and I think that getting on insurance now would be a good idea and getting your teeth fixed. Doing the business thing might not be so bad. Let me know what you decde, but I do think that trying to get on insurance now would be a really good idea.
