*Blink* That is surprising, though entirely welcome news. I"m so glad to hear that.

I'm sure you'll do a fine job with Connor, even though he doesn't seem to want to be 'let out of his cage'. Maybe I should go see him, if he'd like to see me that is. What do you think?

So, fancy a new job?

It really is. *grin* Seems like I'm all about getting second chances lately, doesn't it?

He's grieving. I get that. But prison isn't exactly the most ideal place to work out your feelings, even if he is able to hold his own in there. I think dropping in for a visit certainly wouldn't hurt. (Probably none of my business, but what the heck did he write to you? You've been staring at that screen like he told you the meaning of life.)

Well, that depends. What did you have in mind?

Which is good. Isn't it?

Yes, I know on both counts. I also would like to... Well, never mind, I'll try to get that across when I write him back. After reading this I'm even more convinced I should go see him.

Remember that business Cordelia and I have right under your nose? Unless you wish for us to hire you as our personal gigolo, though I already thought that was a given.

Very.

The kid could use some less-than-blood-lusty company about now. I'd drive you over if you don't think all the visitors would overwhelm him.

I was hoping that's what you're were suggesting. Didn't want to go jumping to any conclusions. *grin* I would be honored to work with you guys, Wes. (Official Watcher-watcher and, uh, Seer-seer. That's me. *laugh*)

Now see, I was gonna ask you the same thing. About Connor. But I doubt my charms equal the whole freedom from Wolfram and Hart thing.

I'm happy for you, Lindsey. Well--Not just for you. For us, too. Y'know. *smiles*

Oh, it's right up there. Never doubt the Chase charm. ;-)

So am I. This is... so much more than I ever could've hoped for. (I know. *grin*)

*grins* I didn't really doubt it. It just didn't hold so much pull as a get-out-of-hell free card ala Wolfram and Hart.

And us too. Y'know, with the hoping. Never did really sit well with us, one working for Hell Inc and all.

But still a treat. *grin*

Playing yes-man to the Senior Partners has been getting old for a long time. Now it's just official that I'm not theirs anymore. It's... definitely a nice change.
