Gratitude

Nov 24, 2005 12:50

So a quick update, before I retire to the main business of the day -- being with my husband, eating, and watching DVDs. I have rented the last SW flick so we can laugh and mock the dialouge while appreciating the killer fight scenes. There are a few other movies to be gotten to over this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes ( Read more... )

::hugs you::

::but wonders what you were on while watching Lost.:: Sayid was amazing?? Did I miss something? I read the ABC recap this morning and said to myself, "Sayid was supposed to be going insane? That was supposed to be convincing anguish?" I did not buy it for one second, and let's remember i WANTED to buy it. Although, still, it's Sayid. Maybe I just have higher standards for the man.

Happy thanksgiving with takeaway!!

IMO he was amazing because he defeated Ana-Lucia without laying a hand on her. By simply saying a few words, he convinced her to lay down her arms and untie him. He won the battle without firing one shot, IOW. And, of course, showed that he could have easily kicked her ass by taking down Eko.

He honestly seemed to be solid to me and my husband, but you know, different strokes ((hugs)).

No, that's valid. I hadn't thought about it that way--and I like it a lot better.

Sayid is always good! I anticipate great things for him, now that Shannon is gone. But it does look like they're setting him up for long term emotional anguish, which will probably bore me. Ah, well.

::big hugs::

I don't see Sayid as ever going crazy, because I don't think it's the mature of the character -- he may get very angry, but I generally see him returning to the calm acceptance that he showed by the end of the show.

Whatever they have in store for him, I am sure it will be better than him hooking up with Shannon. I would prefer him with Ana-Lucia, for god's sake. I detested Shannon, I would have hated to see episodes of Sayid being all sappy over that useless woman. So, you know, have a quick burial and then bring on some angst : ).

Sayid is my small-screen lover. Well, him and Gregory House. A woman can multitask. ((hugs you back))
