I added it. You'll have to let me know how it goes. I'm planning on doing something very similar.

the syndication was easy peesey to set up. Hopefully folks here will switch, so I do not lose them. The alternative would be to just go to the Blog page itself and add it the feed into your fav RSS feed reader and access it that way. But I am trying very hard not to migrate away from the community here on LJ. If I could technically do on LJ ( scripting, testing new widgets, etc..) what I am doing on Blogspot, I would have zero motivation to move. I have a whole backlog of widgets and web2.0 gadgets to test that I have not been able to here that will soon pop up here.

Who are you going to use to syndicate the podcast part of your setup? I know people who are very happy with Podomatic.com the Indie500show.com uses them to broadcast. A cool thing about blogspot is that you can link to an external podcast in the blog as well... I have yet to test that feature, but it is coming soon.

to read the whole post in the feed, you have to click. When you click, it takes you to the actual blog page, on the actal blog page you can use your LJ ID and reply. I absolutely want to continue discussion. Losing discussion was not a reason to move. That would be a very bad result. And in no way do I want to lose your insights and thoughts...

Done. I actually have quite a few friends who've switched to this format and it usually works fine for me.
