If the Conservatives/NDP can really get togeather

Is that realistic, though? I mean, they're pretty much opposite ends of the political spectrum. Conservatives are for low taxes and traditional marriage, the NDP are for increased public services and gay marriage. I'd say they differ greatly in their core ideals, and neither side will easily give them up.

Anyway, what is interesting is that it is very likely that there will be another minority government. Possibly even a smaller minority than now, making it more possible for the government to be brought down. But whichever party is the opposition would get creamed by the public for forcing yet another election so soon. So whichever party does get it, they could be in for a while, which will force the parties to work together, because if they don't the one that causes an election will be screwed.

Look at the last few weeks though. The NDP have been working with the Conservatives. I think the (and maybe this is a little to optomistic) that the conservatives could live with socialy liberal policies and that the NDP could live with fiscaly conservative policies, at least for a few years.

It might even work out if they form a true coalition gov. Put NDP in things like Environment, Health, Human Resource Deputy PM...

Hell, I could live with that!
