I know! Leading stats in goals for and goals against! Everyone's always talking about the Spezza-Alfredsson-Heatley scoring dynamo, so I've heard very little about their clearly high-quality defense.
These guys have got to be favourites. Even though Detroit has a similar record, they're playing in a relatively weak division, whereas the opponents the Sens face regularly are of a much higher calibre.
Things are definitely looking good for bringing The Cup back to Canada!
I'd only cheer against Vancouver and Toronto. Which is why I hope that as long as I live, the two never face each other in the final. It would be the most disappointing Cup ever.
But I've got nothing against Ottawa, so they can do as well as they want. Although it would be nice if they were to be upset in the first round so that Montreal could get to the finals without having to go through them. Let someone else tire themselves out taking care of the big guns, like what happened in '93.
