I'm going mental. I wrote quite a bit on the "lull and storm" prompt, but then realized that the scene can't play out the way I wrote it if I want logic to have a say in it. And I do. So I've put that aside for later pondering and started on the "animal" prompt.

I totally understand where you're coming from with the issues with the way the characters are handled by Marvel. I feel much the same way about the shallowness and, well, silliness of a lot of the things they've done with them over the years and even moreso with how it's been done. I haven't actually read the comics for quite a while now b/c I just couldn't suspend disbelief for the freakier storylines and was incredibly dissatisfied with the lack of depth in character development. They put the characters through hell and then there's no resolution, no dealing with the fallout after, just moving on to the next super-villain or tragedy. I love the concept of the X-Men, I just think Marvel's done an incredibly bad job with them...thus RP and fanfic.

I have to say that I really hope you continue ficcing these two, though, because I've really been enjoying your work. Good luck at that drawing board!

Oh I will keep ficcing them. Keeping creative is good for me and my head's too full of ideas and possibilities to stop. Hopefully things will fall into place.:)
