Ooh, more! Yay! I envy the way you can convey a scene with so few words and so very little of it descriptive or internal monologue. I tend to ramble endlessly inserting unnecessary detail ad nauseum and this is so very spare but gives such a perfect, rich view into those few moments in time. The casual conversation wound about the casual violence is wonderfully done. Possibly the only thing that could make me happier is if you developed a sudden penchant for novel-length fic. ;)
