[Avon tries to keep his tension to himself. An escort is good. He watches the monitor closely. ] Weapons are enabled on the approaching craft...probably just being careful.

Of course. [Blake smiles at Avon and pats Aurora again.] They're our allies.

I suppose I should be grateful they're cautious.

Yes. [Blake gives Avon a quick smile before concentrating on following their escort.]

[Blake glares at Avon and massages his ribs.] It's not. [sighs] We owe Grant one. He saved our lives. Besides, we have no love for the Federation. [He clenches his jaw.] Those bastards killed my family.

[kerr_avon]

[Avon puts his hand over Blake's.] He looks at the woman.

[Abruptly she stands up and takes the bottle of pills.] Give me a secure code for communicating with you.

[roj_blake]

[Blake turns his hand over and squeezes Avon's fingers.] Frequency 2.365, code alpha, omega, xeta, three.

[kerr_avon]

[Avon doesn't quite sigh in relief.]

]Blake follows Avon in and immediately places his hand on her panel.] We'll need to fuel up. [He feels her mind brush up against his.] Transmitter?

[Avon senses Blake making contact with Aurora. He can't 'hear' what she's saying, though.]

[Blake listens for a while longer. Then he looks at Avon, taps his ear, then taps the computer panel.]

[Avon moves to the console and looks at it, considering.]

I know it's my fault we didn't get a down-payment, but that's no reason to sulk, Brin.

We still have credit at the Free Trader station, we can refuel there.
