win.

So, I managed to make it to two Peelander-Z shows- one in Austin and one here in Denton- and still finish all my homework, turn in my dress, and make an A on my test. Also made an A on the dress. I win, haha.

My dress:

.

We had to use that white fabric. We were provided the fabric for this project (I almost wrote challenge, like it was project runway or something, lol). I like the idea of this dress, but the colors are not my favorite. I'd like to make it or something similar over Christmas break. The skull is my favorite part :3. It was handmade, oooo~.

This is what I look like whenever a project is due:

lol.

And here's my lovely workspace:

Complete with cat.

Some inspiration: a flyer from the Steven Sprouse exhibit I saw in New York, and My signed program from the Vogue/CFDA fashion show. Its signed by Peter Som, the designers of Marchesa (Karen Craig and Georgina Chapman) and Thakoon. Totally awesome. Just an FYI, Peter Som is super nice, so if you ever have lots of money to spend on designer clothes, buy Peter Som's stuff.

It was fun seeing Peelander-Z again, like always. I'll post the picture of me and them piled inside of a photobooth soon, lol. It took so much work to fit us all in there, and then the booth was lame and cut everyone out except me. Its really just pictures of me making silly faces and framed by other people's foreheads, lol. Good times.

 Peelander time!

What a terrible picture, haha. Chelsea's first show! Us plus a random stuffed animal that ended up on stage.

Denton show. We're so fucking cool that we do our homework at the shows. Woo.

That guy's expression is priceless.

SHAAAAAMMMEEE. lol. This picture has nothing to do with anything.

Yaaay Cherry. All the cool rockstars wear Mickey Mouse shirts.

I love Kengo.

Yumi's so cute XD

The guy who took that picture was super awkward and took like 4 million of us, saying the flash wasn't right, when this first picture was FINE.

I told myself this semester that I  would focus on school and work really hard. I wouldn't go to as many concerts and just work work work. So of course that would mean that both Miyavi and Dir en grey would decide to tour here at the same time.
Wtf, guys?
Miyavi on a Monday, Dir en grey on a Tuesday. Oh, and I have a project due that Tuesday. Of course. Rita and I are gonna try and make it to the Miyavi show since we still haven't seen him in concert, but I don't know about Dir en grey. I've never once not seen them when they've toured the US. Not even when they toured with Deftones and didn't go to Dallas. Then I just flew to Salt Lake City like the crazed fan I am. But I just don't think I can do it this time. Plus, Kelsey won't be with me, and I'll most likely be alone, so that would suck. I'm not sure I can deal with all of those fantards on my own D:
But I don't know. I might go. Kinda thinking about just showing up and getting my ticket at the door, and just sitting in the back. I'd still like to see them, even if it won't be front row with my best friend. But the show might sell out, since they're playing smaller venues for this tour. Oh well. We'll see.

I got really bummed about this a while back, but then I realized, if not being able to go to a concert is the thing thats making me most unhappy in my life, I've got a pretty good life. Its not so bad, really. I've got wonderful friends, family, a boyfriend who loves me, I'm lucky enough to be in school, and have enough money to live comfortably and buy things I don't need. Things are going well.
