This is why I went vegetarian. Granted I could do more by going vegan, but something is better than nothing.
someone also said in the comments underneath that eating one vegetarian meal instead of a big steak dinner saves as much water as using a low-flow shower head for an entire year! i wonder if that's true... even small changes do seem to help a lot! i think a lot just has to do with the huge increase in meat consumption that's happened over the past 50 years. you should come to the farm sanctuary sometime. i think you'd love it! i have some some buddies there and can introduve you to a sweet piglet named "ellen" that the public doesn't have access to!!! woot woot!
