Sooooo, here I am, approximately 4 hours from the time my alarm clock goes off (because the Laws of The Way Things Go say that I can never get on a plane with more than 4 hours sleep under my belt), catching up with the Million and One Things Yet to Do before I leave for Japan.

Number One:  Learn to speak Japanese.
Number Two:  Learn to read Kanji.

PS: As for photobucket, head here and click on "Join Now" to sign up--it doesn't cost anything. When you've signed up and logged in to your photobucket album, you can upload pictures by clicking on the "browse" button on the right. Once your pictures are uploaded, copy the address listed after "URL Link" by the picture, and paste that into your livejournal entry with the image html tags.

< img src="the_url_of_your_image_goes_here" > <--This is the code for an image. Just take out the spaces before and after the < and >, and you're set.

I'll be around for tech support if you need it, though. ^_~ Also, the code above is assuming that you're posting from the "HTML" version of livejournal's update page, rather than the "Rich text" one. If it's the latter, just click on the image button and paste in the URL. (^^b

You do realize that I now have that song stuck in my head, na? And not the original version, the really bad vocals done by Ben Afleck in "Armageddon". TT-TT

I'm so excited for you! I know you'll have a great time. ^-^ *big hugs* and, as the little neighbor kid from "Home Alone" would say; "Bye! Have a good time! Buy me something Japanese!"

Bon Voyage, Roku!!! I can't wait to hear about your trip! XD

Don't worry too much about kanji!! Lots of stuff, especially in Tokyo, is in romaji, too--and you can always get by by comparing the kanji on the map to the kanji on a street sign (for example), if necessary. You've got a discerning eye, so you'll be fine. :D

You're likely on a plane right now, with about a ten-hour trip left ahead of you. I hope you're remembering to perform your anti-blood clot leg exercises, young lady. And I hope you have a fantastic trip. ^__^

Sayonara, and the very best of luck to you!! If you have time to post while you're there it would be wonderful, but please don't worry about it if you can't. Just concentrate on having a good time-you deserve it. ^__^ We'll all still be here when you get back! ^___~
