Donald E. Westlake, dead at 75...He was the author of one of my favorite series of books. If you haven't read them, please check out the Dortmunder series. They are the funniest crime-caper-gone-hilariously-wrong books you will ever read. There are thirteen novels (and one more to come in April) and a book of short stories about Dortmunder and his ( Read more... )

Aw, Boo! I hate it when interesting people die! It shouldn't be allowed! Regular boring people, sure, we need the space, but interesting people should be given complimentary immortality!

I have read a few of his books, and own a few more I have not read yet. He's very enjoyable, and I intend to have read all of his works AT SOME POINT. At least he left quite the prolific pile of works behind, that's quite the achievement in my book, and one I hope to emulate

You should draw under a pseudonym... Is that possible?
