And he constantly tells her to leave him alone, that's she's stupid for wanting to be with him, and that she can barely walk without almost dying. And yet she still goes all googly for him. For a good story with vampires and female characters that don't need to constantly be saved or fall madly in love with a guy who is just so very creepy/stalkery/sparkly, then try Buffy.
