I have to start writing again

Mar 17, 2009 09:05

So, 75 weeks since I last posted anything here. I had an accident in November 2007; switched jobs in June of 2008, and became unemployed the same day the Obama Presidency began, January 20, 2009. At least someone started a job that day. My last thinking moment as an employed person was a meditation on the word 'urethane.' Go figure. Fluid applied ( Read more... )

(((hugs))) I hate seeing you so down, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you will find a job soon, it sucks that you had to lose it. That job sounded really good when you told me about pre-Jan 20th -- and hmm, Rachel, way to make him feel better ;-)

I'm kind of down myself, just got a lot going through my head. You know the economy is bad when it effects someone not even working -- though in a way my mom and I are hoping when it comes to my grandmother's house it will work for us. See since she's going onto Medicaid the state will own the house and we keep waiting for them to send us a letter, but nothing. We're hoping for it to take a while considering how many houses they probably are dealing with in this horrible time money wise.

Anyway love you and up things get cheerier -- hey this week on SPN Dean's going to torture to Alistair.

I know! And that show has been just excellent of late. Pam's death really me though. I really liked that actress. Hope to see her in something else. Speaking of something else, have you seen 'Castle' yet? It's Nathan Fillion as David Boreneaz. It's kind of a guilty pleasure so far and not really that good, but they do give Nate plenty of scenery chewing to do. He's really much more natural as a leading man than Dave is, and great with the soft touch. And OF COURSE she has a 'dark past' and OF COURSE he's got his own story - a playboy type (who was raised by a playgirl type) with an old soul for a daughter (who he loves with all his heart). I'm afraid I'll be a sucker for this one ( ... )

I will miss Pam too -- though honestly, she was so cool and fun I detached myself from her fast figuring they'd kill her off. It's SPN afterall ( ... )

Well it does help! I'm doing the gym today. YMCA gave me a scholarship because I'm unemployed (what other fitness club can do that?)- and it's in the Presidio and I've told you, each time I go there (it's all donated property from the Army) I feel like I'm in a movie and I should be seeing Sean Connery walk by. The Golden Gate bridge, really there and not CGI. How can anyone stay depressed in a place like that ( ... )
