***All In a Day's Work***

Well it was that time again. Time to check in new crew members and give them their physicals. Doctor McCoy was just about done when Nurse Chapel brought him a PADD of a medical record of a crew member that was being shuttled to the ship because she had missed the transport shuttle. 
McCoy: "What's this?"  
Chapel: "Well apparently she missed her

"Young lady you're about five minutes too late to be on my good side. We'll talk later about protocol right now let's get this man to sickbay."

*He snapped his fingers and in no time a pair of guards were coming to help with the victim. He popped the comm on the wall and let Nurse Chapel know they had a wounded officer coming and that the new nurse was on her way as well. In a few moments interns ran to meet up with them with a bio bed. McCoy pulled out his scanner and they all stopped when he did.*

"Just remember who the doctor is around here. Now what happened exactly to cause this? By the way the names McCoy, Leonard McCoy or to you Doctor"

*He can be a stubborn ass but once the fireworks clear he'll be more calm and say a few words to the young lady but at the moment he's more worried about the patient.*

*Once in sickbay Nurse Chapel comes running over to assist. Bones keeps speaking.* "So what's your name, I never caught it on the roster?

"Keep calling me Dr. Douche like that, and it will get you a one way ticket to sanitizing and polishing hypos by hand about a thousand of them. And don't think I won't do it either cause the girls here can tell you I sure as damn well will."

He gets the bleeding stopped on the young Ensign. "Good the bleeding's finally stopped."

So Nurse Clarke, welcome aboard the Enterprise. Our Captain, his name is James T. Kirk. And since you are a blonde, I'm surprised he's not already down here to find out more about you. Nurse Chapel over there is the head nurse, follow my orders and her instructions and we'll get along just fine. By the way, nice work you did on the Ensign."

He stopped a moment to look up at her, he'd been so busy doing what he had to do, he hadn't really noticed much other than she was a blonde. This time however he gave a slight nod and the very slightest hint of a smile. "Welcome to Sickbay Nurse Clarke. Why don't you go find your quarters and get settled in then come on back here and I'll show you around the place more.
