Click to viewI remember back in the day that EVERYONE thought that Legend of the Dragoon was a Final Fantasy 7 ripoff, and only because they had a main character die, much like Aeris did. However, I thought this was a really fun game. The story is a little bit typical of RPGs, but the battle system was a little more interactive than a traditional RPG's. When you fight with your weapon, you have to press the attack button at just the right times in order to fully perform your attack. What was the mother of all special attacks (just remembered they're called Additions)?
That was always a fun one to master. Anyway, of course, it was my favorite character who died: Lavitz. He's replaced by Prince Albert and while he's cool and all, he just can't compare to Lavitz. Plus, when he does Flower Storm, I swear that the timing is waaaay different with him. Faster even.
So anyway, that's my underrated game. The runner-up is Brave Fencer Musashi, a hillarious and awesome game in its own right.
