it TOTALLY matters that han shot first. it helps defines his character as a rouge! the fact that G.L. went back and bastardised his little "digitally remastered" versions by making han noble and shooting in defense.... ARG
You knew that he was a rouge, however he still had a honor and a code in reality, he was a scoundrel but still had soemthing. so if he shot first he is a dirtbag, but if he shot second, then it makes him more honorable.
psha. greedo came to kill him, greedo was HOLDING A GUN on him. he felt threatened, so he shot to save his own life. if somebody walks into a bar and pulls a gun on yuou talking about how they are going to kill you at point blank range, and you going to wait for them to fire first so you can shoot in 'self defense'? NO, you're going to take that bastard out.
Han is a Scoundrel you are correct however the definition of that is:
scoun·drel (skoun'drəl) n. A Thief; a rogue.
[Origin unknown.]
scoundrelly scoun'drel·ly adj.
so all the Rogue's I have played in my games and seeing on TV, none of them commited Murder for personal gains or because they flet threatened, therefore it leads me to believe that the Rogue honor means that Han would not have shot first in cold blood, only in self defense
1. Nope, James is back from China. Sorry if I may have anything to do with your not hearing much from him... 2. If you posted on LJ that you think people are plotting your demise, its not a secret any more is it? 3. I have SO got to catch you all up on my-life kinds of stuff (happened in the last week or so). Maybe look for a post tomorrow, I may make an executive descision and take the day off.
