This weekend was unbelievable. Especially after my preceding week of crap where I had a ton of work and a couple midterms. And next week I have a couple more, so I had a nice break from academia. You guys actually get REAL FOOD on Sundays? Here the food quality is pretty low in the cafeterias, but on Sundays it's always worst. They clean out the freezers and shut down about half of the lines, meaning that you only have about half the selection as normal.

You know what I had for dinner? One hamburger (which was ok), and then fucking CEREAL AND POPCORN! Seriously, who puts out popcorn for dinner? The best part is that I paid 9 bucks (standard meal plan price) for that meal.

do you actually pay cash? or is that just the equivalent amount...because if you pay cash that would suck hard

Whoops, 9 bucks was just a little bit of an overstatement. No cash is involved; I've got a meal plan so it's already paid for. I just calculated it out and this is the rub:

17 weeks per semester x 19 meals per week = 323 meals per semester
$1436 cost of meal plan / 323 meals = ~$4.50 per meal

And that's if you eat EVERY meal. I generally don't eat breakfast except maybe once or twice a week so let's say I eat 15 meals per week. That's:

17 meals per semester x 15 meals per week = 255 meals per semester
$1436 cost of meal plan / 255 meals = ~$5.70 per meal
