Tattoo!!

OK, here we go! So the story is that Maggie Stiefvater drew this little raven in my copy of Dream Thieves, and it made me so happy because it was adorable, and I love ravens. Because it's in pencil, it'd be really hard to mimic as a tattoo, so Chris, my tattoo artist, tried to come up with a doable drawing that captured the essence and could be

Hahhah! I STILL haven't taken down the Christmas mantel stuff - it makes me so sad! The Tigger is Paul's - I have a Winnie one! :) And Lydia has the knit one my great grandma made me when I was little :)

Ooh, that is lovely! If you hadn't said it was impossible to copy the sketch, I would have thought he *had*; it has all the charm of the original and matches perfectly, while adding a bit of detail that really makes it pop. I love the idea of using that sketch to inspire a tattoo, too. She's on Twitter; you could show it to her. :)

Yes! IO think he did a really good job of capturing the feel of the sketch and making it work as a tattoo! I'm super pleased! :)

And I did last night - and she retweeted it! And it was liked by like 240 people! :D

I didn't post the full arm shot - that's on FB if you want to look! It's about 3"x2", I'd say.
