Oh man...I swear I am going to get it right one of these days...so here I am again on my self improvement kick. I just went out with the help of Canary and bought a bunch of really really hot clothes. The kind of look that I want to go for. I can't wait to get my hair and body to match!!! Over the weekend I also spent a great deal of time looking

Bumble and Bumble

Hair Cut: Maybe try Bumble and Bumble up on E. 56th. They have a downtown location too (see website). They used to do a great short cut on me (I just don't live in NY anymore or I'd still go).

It's fairly expensive but they are the real deal pro NYC salon and they do celebs/models/beautiful people like ourselves.

If you don't want to pay, try this: I used to go to Bumble when I was a poor student and if they had a assistant trying to make cutter, they'd have the assistant give me a free cut and show the real cutter (it was like a test). I always got a great cut that way too. If you watched 'Blow Out' you might be familiar with the 'model cuts' (for free) at better salons. Can't hurt to call and see if they still do that..maybe you'd get a free fabulous cut. Otherwise, consider paying.....I think you'd love it.

i did that hair assistant cut thing at a ridiculously high end place on Newbury in Boston.... the cut was great, but the stylist the kid was doing the apprenticeship for was a complete asshole. and it took a good 3 hours. so try it, but bring a book! maybe, "War and Peace" ????
