Friday Night Lights Faded from the Winter, We Will Stretch Our Wings Landry, Tim. E for Everyone. “You know it’s illegal to pick bluebonnets in Texas?”
Thank you! I try to stick close images that I feel that you would see on the show itself. I'm glad that you think I got their voices down well. Thanks so much fo commenting!
Landry thinks that if he hadn’t found Matt all those years back, he probably would have ended up just like Riggins.
I'm glad I'm not the only person that sees that in certain ways Matt and Tim are a lot alike. They're both kind and sensitive souls. But Tim's what happens when you come from a horrible home.
I love this story so much that I'm bouncing in my seat from happiness.
They are a lot alike and I think it's going to be interesting to see the ways that Matt is influenced by the guys on the team. Thanks so much, I'm happy that you liked it!
Landry doesn’t have the heart to tell him that sarcasm is the lowest form of humor if only because he doesn’t want to step on Tim while he’s still growing.
Okay, that line just about, oh Landry, how are you so awesome? He just -- Tim + Landry 4eva! You write him so beautifully I'm just like wow.
“There’s no beef in the Garden.” Tim turns full-body to stare at him and, out of the corner of his eye, Landry can make out his bemused expression. “What do you think vegetarian means, Riggins?”
“Birdfood.”
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Bless. Also, dude, I was all happy and tra-la-laing a long and then we see Landry's dad with the person is who is so not Mrs. Clarke and my heart just broke. *sniff*
Just a quick note, sweetie, you have Tim remembering that he and Landry were in the same class, but Landry is a sophomore like Matt, and Tim and Jason (I'm fairly positive are seniors or at the very least juniors), and here The parking lot isn’t probably paved,. I'm thinking you didn't mean to have the probably here.
HA. I like stringing you all along and breaking your heart in the end. I had this whole different backstory for Landry planned out in my head and then his parents came and picked him and Matt up from the police station and I had to change it all. Oh canon--always ruining my dreams.
This entire story was borne out of an image of Landry saying, quite severely, "There's no beef in the Garden." I can't quite explain why I think that's so funny. Tim and Landry need FAR more scenes together.
As to their ages, I actually intentionally wrote them both as juniors here--making Landry a year older than Matt (and Julie) and Tim a year younger than Jason (and Lyla, possibly Tyra), since it would only make sense to have Landry tutoring Riggins in books that they're reading at the same time or that Landry has already read. I didn't realize that it had already been concretely refuted by the show? Is Landry for sure a sophomore?
Also: this is why you should PROOF READ STORIES. So sorry and thanks for that!

Absolutely!

And even then they tend to contradict themselves (*thinks of Tim Kring*). As for the proofing of stories, baby, proofing in no way ensures an error free story, so stop apologising. I've had stories betad by four people that I've

You have a fantastic ear for dialogue, Tim and Landry's voices in particular.
I'm giggling at the image of Tim with bluebonnets behind his ear.
