Lewis Carrol was a genius. There is a lot of satire in those Alice books. Contrary to popular belief, the guy wasn't really a pedophile.
I'm not a big fan of Michael Moore. He's got the right idea about a lot of subjects, but he is an extremist and I disagree with his views on capitalism. He is not the first to say what he has in his films about the handful of subjects I would agree with him on though, and there are others who have said it better.
In Bowling For Columbine, apparently the interview he did with Marilyn Manson was several times longer in length than what was put in to the film. Moore used (or more accurately stole) exact wordings and ideas that Manson had said.
He is also basically prejudice towards his own ethnicity, but seems to think that it is okay to speak of Americans as a mass poorly because he is one of them... Yes, America (the same country that allows him to massively publicize and spew his political views and distaste and simultaneously earn a shitload of money doing it) is an awful country.
I didn't know that. I just thought it was interesting about the things he talked about. Most people who'se documentary's I've seen aren't as good, so I just watched him. I would say ignorance is bliss, but I'm glad to have heard it. I'mma check out some other people's veiws of things.
Yeah, he can come off as an intelligent guy, I guess if you don't look in to him too much. I haven't seen Sicko, but I did see him on the Daily Show with John Stewart. I'm sure it's not an awful film, and I agree that Canada has a better health care system.
Oh man, it really is interesting. My friend doesn't like him either, but he agrees that it's good. Yeah, I told my mom we should move to Canada but that sparked some homophobic/racist remarks. I haven't seen the end of it yet though, because everytime I try to watch it my internet goes out or my mom yells at me.
