My Fair Beauty | open!

[Bruce didn't remember willingly signing up to teach "the fine art of human courtship." God knew he was bad enough on his own - especially since he couldn't keep a steady relationship to save his own life - so why did someone think he was capable enough to teach someone else? Right, because Bruce knew how to attract someone. But attracting someone ( Read more... )

BEAUTY YOU SAID? ...sometimes I almost pity Bruce for dealing with my Belle. >3 Almost. beautifulreader April 13 2011, 02:11:22 UTC
[Belle had no idea how this had happened. She couldn't, not for the life of her, remember how she had become signed up for such a class! There were times, admittedly, where her attention was divided between a book and whatever else there was going on in life, but Belle never thought she was that distracted. There couldn't be a distraction big enough to make her sign up for such a thing!

And, yet, here she was. Mere feet away from the gazebo, a book in one hand, the notice of the class clenched within her other, and the instinctive feeling to just walk away flowing through out her body. It was a perfectly normal response. She didn't need such a class, she didn't want such a class. That wasn't how love worked. That wasn't how it was supposed to work. Just who came up with this whole, ridiculous idea?!

Maybe she ought to see, just to find out... At least then she could do the polite thing and explain that there was some sort of mix-up in all of this. Yes, that was what she would do. It was only polite, after all.]

Hello?

He'll get over it! ♥ ... Eventually. |D onceaguardian April 13 2011, 02:26:12 UTC
[The moment he hears her voice, Bruce carefully closes his book and sets it down before rising to meet Belle. If anything, he's certain that she's most likely his student. He just... doesn't remember learning anything about his pupil.

Offering a smile once he approaches her, Bruce holds out his hand.]

If there is, I'm certain we can talk about it. Are you the girl who signed up for lessons?

[Granted, he didn't even know what he would teach her. Dancing, perhaps? Or maybe how to socialize with the snobs of society. The latter never hurt anyone.]

Hmm~ Maybe after the first kiss? beautifulreader April 13 2011, 03:53:37 UTC
[Belle stops a few steps away and nods, offering her own hand out to carefully shake his. He looks pleasant enough, carries himself in a confident, calm manner. Bruce isn't at all who she'd imagine hosting such an idea.]

Oui. I mean, no! I am the one you are probably waiting for, but I did not sign up for this ... class.

[Though her tone is polite, she can't quite keep the way she speaks the word from sounding as if she doesn't believe it to be a credible class, or even a class at all. Nor does Belle seem to care that it's out there and he might not like her opinion.

Opening the cover of her book, she fishes out the paper with the information and hands it over. It's simple, with elegant text and even a picture upon it that looks suspiciously like the two of them together in a gazebo.]

Here. This was waiting for me, and that is my signature but I did not sign it.

[She's moves a fraction of an inch back, ready to ditch.]

How about two? Or three? onceaguardian April 14 2011, 14:00:31 UTC
[She didn't ask for this either? That's slightly unusual. Bruce raises an eyebrow, but manages to keep his smile as he looks over the flier and reads it. It definitely looks like something Ollie might've done - especially since the picture's his handiwork - but Bruce knows he can't back out of it now.]

Maybe one of your friends did it for you? [He shrugs, keeping his voice light as he laughs] We're both here, so we might as well have a lesson or two.

I mean, we are here, right? It'd be a waste of time to just meet up and leave.
