Actually, Cherise Sinclair has written a series of books that deal with some of these themes you're looking for. It's called "Masters of the Shadowlands", it's about BDSM and a few of those books in the series also deal with the aftereffects of physical/sexual abuse. So far there are nine books in total.

Oh yes, I've read all of them! Cherise is by far one of my favorite romance authors, if not THE favorite :)

Read anything by Kristen Ashley yet? Her Fantasyland series is my favorite (especially book #2). There's some heavy themes in there as well (especially #2 and #4, book #4 deals with physical abuse).
