He knew better than to approach her now. She was the queen of her fête, the diamonds in her hair sparkling, her white dress immaculate. As she gestured to a house-elf to fetch the Minister more firewhisky, her gaze lingered on him for only a moment, but he felt the thrill of their illicit affair rush in his veins.
Her eyes were cold, and her attention slipped back to the Minister.
She was ice now, but later, she would be his, and he would taste her passion, incandescent, hot enough to match the raging bonfire she had lit within him.
