"Well, if it isn't Pansy Parkinson."

"Roger Davies! What a pleasant surprise."

"Will you join me?" he asks, gesturing to a nearby café.

"I'd love to." Roger will be a perfect diversion before my next commitment, and he's still as handsome as I remember.

Roger seats me and then orders a bottle of Chateau Latour -- in flawless French. I had no idea he possessed such panache.

"Springtime in Paris," I remark, taking in our picturesque setting.

"It's the perfect season to become reacquainted," he says charmingly.

I smile. "Are you here for a match?"

"Yes, it's tonight in Quiberon."

"Shouldn't you be on the coast preparing, rather than having afternoon refreshments with…"

"A lovely, illustrious authoress?"

I smile again. He's uncommonly appealing and not intimidated by my success.

We discuss our mutual connections, Quidditch, school days and places we've been. Roger then tells me about his recent house acquisition in a fashionable section of wizarding London.

As he speaks, I notice his extraordinary lips, and it's the first time in ages I'm fantasizing about kissing a wizard romantically. To ease my pain, I've kissed wizards since Draco, but I've not actually wanted to -- until now. It's quite unexpected.

"A famous Chaser must have countless admirers."

"None as enchanting as a raven-haired witch I've admired from afar."

I'm astonished. "You know my books?"

"Travelling in Wizarding Style has been particularly helpful."

His smile reaches my well-protected, tender heart -- causing confusion yet elation.

We watch the sun set over the Seine. After talking for hours, it's time to part.

"I want to see you again -- tonight," Roger says.

"I have an engagement this evening. My assistant is probably frantic, wondering where I am."

He takes my hand. "Come to my match afterward."

Roger's warmth and intensity make me want to experience more of him. "I'll try to manage it."

"You won't be disappointed," he says confidently before Disapparating.

The cuisine is excellent, but the company is a bore. I slyly note the time during the fish course. Nine o'clock. The match has started.

In the drawing room, an ancient witch makes preposterous claims of magical endowments. A presumptuous wizard leers at my décolletage. I inconspicuously cast Adverto, redirecting his attention to the dowager. Ten o'clock.

A distinguished couple make their excuses. I seize the opportunity to take my leave. Eleven o'clock.

I Apparate directly to the oceanfront pitch, knowing I'm overdressed for a Quidditch match. I'm seated just as the Snitch is caught by the Montrose Seeker. Chaos ensues as excited fans leave for parties.

Realising only Quidditch tarts wait around for players, I choose to retreat.

Suddenly, Roger zooms up, landing in the nearly deserted VIW section.

"You're here," he says, sporting a roguish grin. Roger looks incredibly sexy wearing his team robes.

I'm melting inside. "I couldn't resist."

The next moment, he's kissing me, and it's fantastic!

"I've just decided to stay in France for a while," he whispers.

"Paris is full of possibilities," I reply, seeking his sensual lips.

Author's Notes: Roger was popular with the witches at Hogwarts, knowing just the right thing to say, and he perfected his kissing technique there. He plays Chaser for the Montrose Magpies in this story. Pansy is inspired by the famous author Pansy in Pure & Proud. Quiberon is a French seaside resort and home to the Quiberon Quafflepunchers. The spell, Adverto, simply means to direct attention. Thanks to lewlinx for her initial comments and to _vocalion_ for proofreading.
