The light in the room was dimmed to almost nothing, illuminated only by the half-decorated Christmas tree and a few guttering candles. George felt Angelina nestle into his side and pulled her closer, hearing her sigh in contentment.
“How long ‘til he gets them floating, d’you think?” George asked, nudging Angelina and nodding towards their son, who was happily rolling glowing Christmas baubles about the room with an occasional gleeful giggle.
Angelina snorted and grinned at him, one eyebrow raised. “It depends on when I leave the room and how long it takes you to teach him, I expect.”
