The rubies caught the light in the dungeon as his finger traced over the gems.
“It’s hideous on you.” He whispered, fingertip trailing along her neck.
She restrained her shiver and refocused on her work. She could’ve explained she had only borrowed it from Godric for her experiment, but as he told her before- their relationship wasn’t measured in such terms.
His finger slowly slid back down her skin, over the necklace and then hooked on her collar.
“Take it off.”
She saw the passion in his eyes, but didn’t allow herself to smile. She did, however, take it off.
