"I was thinking," Blaise greeted her.
"You shouldn't do that," Daphne interrupted, smirking, placing her holiday shopping bags on the table.
Ignoring her, he continued, "...that we should have a fight."
She responded with a raised eyebrow.
Blaise moved towards her, backing her into the table. "Because," he answered her unspoken question, "we get along so well afterwards."
He trailed dark kisses down her jawline. Daphne shivered, and he could sense victory.
"Perhaps," she began, but her snarky reply was lost as he crushed his lips to hers.
She scooted onto the table, her bags -- and his noon proposition -- forgotten.
